About

I didn’t know, when I met Stephen, that I was meeting both a great love and one of the deepest heartbreaks of my life. The chemistry between us was immediate and I believed I had found my person. There was tenderness, laughter and a sense of belonging. I also saw his wounds, and loving him gradually became intertwined with wanting to rescue him. Over time, there were betrayals, confusion and moments when I ignored my own instincts because I believed in the person I loved and the future I thought we were building. Eventually, that future disappeared.

The words that ended us hurt in ways I could never have imagined. Hearing that his attraction had changed and that he no longer knew whether he wanted a future with me left me feeling rejected, replaced and diminished. But heartbreak has also given me perspective. I am learning that chemistry isn’t compatibility, that loving someone doesn’t mean you can save them, and that compassion must have boundaries. This blog is about the grief, the betrayal, the longing and the slow rebuilding that followed. Most of all, it is about finding my way back to myself — and discovering that the end of a love story can also be the beginning of your own.
